It is true that the majority of dreams are found in the graveyard, because people die without ever realizing their dreams. Are you ambiguous… are you too scared… do you not know where and how to start… is the lack of money an obstacle for you… do you not have sufficient time… is the time not right… do you rather want to stay in your comfort zone?

Why do you need to look in awe at the successes other people achieve in life? Why can you not write your own success story? I always had this dream that one day I will be owning a game lodge with a spa. It may sound like a dream too big to ever realize. I did discover that I am the biggest obstacle withholding me from achieving my dream. If I believe in my dream; I have a plan to achieve my dream and I take action; nothing will stop me from achieving my dream. Personally I had to move out of my comfort zone. Being a Chartered Accountant I am more risk averse by nature, but I had to learn to take calculated risks. I took that first giant leap of faith when I bought a property and converted it into a guesthouse. It is a small step, but it is a step in the right direction, a step towards realizing my dream. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but I have to keep focussed on the bigger picture.

The truth is we are responsible for what we achieve in life. It doesn’t matter what your success story is. Each person will have a different success story, because how you define success will differ from how somebody else defines success. Believe in yourself and your dream. You can realize your dream. Never allow somebody to tell you, you won’t be able to achieve your dream. Stop thinking success is only destined for other people. Write your own success story. Page for page; until it becomes a chapter and later on develops into a book and then into a top-seller.

Written by Ronel Jooste

CA(SA), Financial Consultant and Coach, Blogger and Speaker

Contact Ronel: ronel@financiallyfitlife.co.za

For more information about my financial wellness programmes visit the website[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

[et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ admin_label=”section” _builder_version=”3.22″][et_pb_row admin_label=”row” _builder_version=”3.25″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”3.25″ custom_padding=”|||” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” _builder_version=”3.27.4″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat”]Are you an avid follower of the success stories of other people?
